Our Story
Stoneywood Publishing was founded on a simple belief: books matter.

Our journey began with The Swift Hill Flower Patch, a series that introduced our cinematic storybook format and reflected our passion for immersive worldbuilding and meaningful storytelling. Today, Stoneywood Publishing is building a diverse catalog of children’s, middle-grade, and young adult literature united by a shared commitment to imagination, quality, and unforgettable storytelling.

Founder and Author
Nedra M. Cobb
Nedra M. Cobb is the author of the Swift Hill Flower Patch series and founder of Stoneywood Publishing. Drawn to storytelling since childhood, she often begins with an intriguing name or simple idea and develops it into a world of characters, challenges, and adventure. Her books pair immersive storytelling with richly illustrated scenes to create an experience that feels part novel and part movie. She lives in Shelbyville, Kentucky, where she balances a corporate career with building an independent publishing house.

We create books that entertain first while naturally exploring the qualities that help readers navigate the world around them: courage, perseverance, responsibility, compassion, friendship, curiosity, and personal growth.
