Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 18, 2026
Nedra M Cobb, doing business as Stoneywood Publishing in Kentucky (“Stoneywood Publishing,” “we” or “us”), operates stoneywoodpublishing.com. This notice explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. For privacy questions, email info@stoneywoodpublishing.com.
Information you send us
If you use our inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, inquiry type and message, plus any optional details you choose to add, such as your organization, role, title of interest, timeline or event details. We use this information to respond to you and manage related correspondence.
Please do not send payment-card details, other sensitive personal information or information about a child through the form.
Our inquiry form is provided by Jetpack Forms, part of WordPress.com. Submissions are stored in our website dashboard and delivered to info@stoneywoodpublishing.com. Akismet, an Automattic spam-filtering service, checks each submission, together with technical details such as your IP address and browser information. See Automattic’s privacy policy. Our business email is provided by Google Workspace; see Google’s privacy policy.
Website hosting, security and statistics
This website is hosted on WordPress.com, which is operated by Automattic. To deliver the site and keep it secure, Automattic processes technical information connected with each visit, such as your IP address, browser and device details and the pages requested. This processing is part of running the website.
This website uses Jetpack Stats, the visitor-statistics tool built into WordPress.com and operated by Automattic. To produce aggregate visit counts, Automattic processes information such as your IP address, browser type, the page you visit and the page that referred you, the time of the visit, your browser language and your country. Automattic keeps statistics logs that include IP addresses for 28 days. We see only aggregate statistics, not who visited. Automattic’s privacy notice for visitors explains this processing.
Cookies, advertising and embedded media
Apart from the WordPress.com statistics described above, we have not added any analytics, advertising or tracking tools. We have not enabled advertising, Google Analytics, social-sharing or “like” buttons, or third-party video players on this website. Our book trailers are video files hosted on this site. WordPress.com may set cookies or use similar technologies needed to run the site, keep it secure or support visitors who are logged in to WordPress.com; see Automattic’s Cookie Policy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Buying eBooks through Payhip
Our eBooks (EPUB downloads) are sold through Payhip, which handles checkout and delivers your download. Payments are currently processed by Stripe. Payhip shares your email address and order details with us so we can support your purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card details. See Payhip’s privacy policy and Stripe’s privacy policy.
Buying print books through IngramSpark
Paperback and hardcover links take you to IngramSpark’s online store, operated by Ingram Content Group, which handles checkout, payment, printing, shipping and returns. IngramSpark provides us with sales reports but does not share buyers’ names, email addresses or shipping addresses. If you contact us directly about an order, we use the information you provide to respond. See Ingram’s privacy notice.
Emails we send
Purchase emails. When you buy an eBook, Payhip sends your receipt and download link, and we may email you about that order, for example to help with a download. These messages are part of your purchase. They are not marketing.
Newsletter. We may offer an optional newsletter in the future. Newsletter sign-up is not available yet. If we launch one, we will send it only to people who choose to subscribe. Buying a book or sending an inquiry will not sign you up. Every newsletter will include an unsubscribe link, and you will also be able to unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@stoneywoodpublishing.com. Unsubscribing will not stop receipts or download emails for purchases you make.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. This website does not run ads or advertising trackers. We share personal information only with the service providers described above, which process it to provide their services, or when required by law or needed to protect the rights, safety or security of our business, our customers or others.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry correspondence and order records only as long as needed to respond to you, support your purchase, continue any business relationship you have with us and meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete personal information you have given us by emailing info@stoneywoodpublishing.com. If we launch a newsletter, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. We may need to keep some records for legal or transaction purposes.
Children’s privacy
Our books are written for young readers, but this website’s inquiry form and purchase links are intended for adults, such as parents, educators, librarians and other professionals. The inquiry form asks anyone under 18 to have a parent or guardian contact us instead. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email info@stoneywoodpublishing.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change and will revise the effective date above.
